SADE ROOM (famously reclusive), Mixed media installation, the Print Shop at MoMA PS1, New York

Performances:
May 10, 2014 from 8PM-Midnight
June 8, 2014 from 6-10PM
June 22, 2014 from 6-10PM

Installation produced specifically for the storefront at MoMA PS1's project space the Print Shop. Using found materials, such as clothing and ephemera, Huanca creates an architectural collage that doubles as a site for performances activated by live models during a selection of MoMA PS1’s Sunday Sessions. During these activations, the models are embedded in the installation as live statues or totems, camouflaged and infused into the sculptural setting as a form of tableau vivant. SADE ROOM (famously reclusive) is viewable through the glass façade on Jackson Avenue, visible at street level 24 hours a day.

Models: Sarah Dames and Flannery Gregg
